Peda is a subcontinental Indian sweet dish originated from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Here is the recipe to prepare delicious Pedas with minimal ingredients only.
Ingredients:
- Milk Powder 2 cups
- Sugar/Jaggery 1/2 cup (or to taste)
- Ghee 2 tbsp
- Milk 1 cup
- Cardamom powder (optional)
Methods to Prepare:
- Take a pan, heat it and add ghee to it
- Add Milk into pan and stir to bring to boil
- After boiling, simmer the flame
- Stir it for another 2 minutes
- Now add milk powder slowly while stirring
- Add cardamom powder and powdered sugar
- Give it a stir for another 5 minutes
- Now put this mixture aside to cool it down (bring to room temperature)
- Once cooled make round shaped balls and press them from
centre.
- Put almonds on top for garnishing
