NOKIA 8: Return of Nokia in Flagship Market


Nokia the company which used to be a star of mobile market lost the game when it made one bad decision: (i) Sticking to Symbian when world was moving to Android and iOS. (ii) Selling the mobile division to Microsoft. Now HMD Global, a company started by the Nokia employees want the name Nokia to be no-1 brand and now its all set to take on the flagship market with its new Nokia 8.

Nokia has already started sending out invites for august 16 when it will make Nokia 8 official. This will be the first Nokia flagship in 3 years, and the first Android-powered premium handset with the Nokia brand. It will also be the first smartphone by Finns with a dual-camera. With Zeiss and HMD Global recently signing an agreement, the phone may feature Carl Zeiss branding as well.

Nokia 8 is expected to launch in the event held in London. Phone will support 5.3-inch QHD display. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor and is rumored to be launched with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage initially, the 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants might eventually be launched later.

The phone will come up with  two 13-megapixel rear sensors with Carl Zeiss branding: Carl Zeiss the company known for making the superior cameras and will feature 13 megapixel selfie camera. The Nokia 8 is tipped to measure 151.55x73.7mm. Nokia 8 will run android 7.1 Nougat with pure OS out of the box without much customization thus users will have a unique pure OS experience as found in Pixel or Nexus devices.

Phone will support a metal body having corning Gorilla glass 5 protection. Bear in mind the strength of Nokia 6 as it's proven to be a tough phone and same can be expected from Nokia 8.
Recently, the Copper Gold color variant of the alleged Nokia 8 was leaked in pictures and it seems to be a sleek good looking phone. Before this, the Blue and Silver color variants of the smartphone were leaked in renders. The Nokia 8 is expected to be priced around EUR 589 (roughly Rs. 43,400).
Alongside the Nokia 8, the company might also announce an entry-level smartphone. Dubbed the Nokia 2, the device is tipped to feature on-screen Android buttons, and may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 212 platform.

So all our eyes are waiting for the launch date and we wanna see how Nokia stands up in the market with its upcoming model to defeat its competitors and make Nokia great again.
